The owners of Storrington Parts are avid hobby gardeners. These pruners were hand selected by us and imported directly from Japan for their true craftsman material construction, design, and ergonomics. 
 
These are Japanese made bypass hand pruners of the highest quality. The blade is composed of two layers - a hard inner core covered by a softer steel. The harder material blade allows for easier branch cutting. However, hard blades are prone to breaking which is the reason for the softer outer blade's pliability to prevent stress cracks or chipping. This composite makes the blade both sharp and durable and is the same construction used in artisan Japanese chefs knives.

The core blades are made from heat treated "Yasuki Clad Steel" for excellent resistance to abrasion. And because the steel is solid right to its core, these pruners will maintain their sharp cutting edge even after extended use.
